I start to sound like a broken record when I’m writing about newborn sessions, because I always leave with a similar set of emotions. These photoshoots fill me with so much warmth, awe, and inspiration. The unconditional love I get to witness while photographing a family with their new baby is something that feels hard to put words to. There’s a beauty in the vulnerability of the whole experience…the bold courage contrasted with the tender new connection. I’m so grateful I get to be a small part of these transitional phases, and so thrilled for each new family member I get to capture. This newborn phase is fleeting, and documenting it with a photo session is incredibly important.
