This summer I’ve been shooting all over the place, ranging from a wedding in Colorado to a backpacking trip in the Enchantments of Washington State. But nothing was as unexpected as my trip to Dutch Harbor. Alaska Ship Supply, a store that stocks ships who come through Dutch Harbor, had me come out and take photos of their annual Customer Appreciation Barbecue, the store, and the surrounding area. I literally cried when i found out- Alaska is a place that I’ve been in love (and borderline obsessed) with since I was a little girl. The idea of getting to shoot there made my heart skip a beat. The trip was everything I imagined and I had so much fun getting to know all the Alaska Ship Supply employees. I’m already planning how i want to get back to this incredible place. Alaska, you have my heart.
