Adventure Session | Engagement Photos at Deception Pass | Adventure Elopement Photographer

What kind of work makes you want to stay up late at night getting better at it? What kind of work makes your heart beat faster just thinking about it? For me, this kind of work is adventure photography. I absolutely love photographing the outdoors, and capturing raw/authentic human emotion in beautiful places is my JAM.

I’ll be shooting this couple’s wedding at Brown Family Homestead in Leavenworth this July, and at our first consultation, the bride’s eyes totally lit up when I mentioned combining their engagement session with some sort of outdoor adventure, (not sure if she noticed, but mine lit up too!)

This couple is pretty outdoorsy, and they liked the idea of snowshoeing out to Artist Point at Mt. Baker for their engagement shoot…though when they date rolled around, we changed plans last minute and headed out to Deception Pass. Only 90 minutes from Seattle and MUCH warmer than our snowshoeing adventure would have been. Spending the day getting to know this couple and capturing their love was such a blast. They couldn’t keep their hands off of each other in the sweetest way and I loved how their sense of humor and enthusiasm shined through their photos. And can you believe that golden light at the end??
